DisasTOUR! 2019

8th Annual DisasTOUR Triathlon April 27, 2019
R.A.S.T.A. Needs VOLUNTEERS!!

First staged in 2011 just weeks after Tropical Storm Irene, the “D’Tour” was created as a way to boost community morale, celebrate the resilience of our towns, and raise money for flood relief. And we’re still at it!!!

To pull off this 3-legged 39K bike-paddle-run adventure race we need a lot of volunteers to help direct racers, keep time, and party after.  If you can’t or don’t want to run the race volunteering is your chance to be part of the fun and great work RASTA is doing to bring trail-based recreation to the Rochester/Randolph area .

If you would like to volunteer please email D’Tour Volunteer Coordinator, Dan McKinley, at mckind@comcast.net.

For a preview of the race course check out this link on the RASTA web page:

Race details and registration info can be found here:  https://www.rastavt.org/disastour/

The “D’Tour” begins at 10am with volunteers meeting on the Rochester Village Park at 9am for orientation and assignments.  Volunteer roles include registration, race course marshals, transition zones, timers, kids race helper and general cheering and clapping for our awesome racers. And of course, you get a T-shirt.

The post-race party at Green Mount Bikes pizza pavillion features standard and fancifully topped wood fired pizza and local brews.  It’s thrilling to watch the teams and Ironwomen and Ironmen take on the challenge of this hilly course and celebrate with them at the finish line.
