Dog Licenses are due on or before April 1. Current rabies certificate is a must
Neutered dogs/wolf hybrids $9.00
Unneutered dogs/wolf hybrids $13.00
LICENSE FEES AFTER APRIL 1
Neutered dogs/wolf hybrids $11.00
Unneutered dogs/wolf hybrids $17.00
Late fee is assessed for each dog unlicensed after April 1
Marriage Licenses:
Civil Marriage License $60.00
Certified copy $10.00
Payment Info:
Payments for taxes, utilities, permits, licenses can be processed by Credit card or ACH (**still waiting on Rob for this)
**Utility payments MUST be made to Rochester Utility Company and cannot be combined with Town of Rochester payments.
Property Tax due dates:
August 15th November 15th February 15th **May 15th
1%-1/5% interest accrues at end of tax due date or next business day. Taxes are delinquent at close of business on May 15th or closest business day, and along with interest, an 8% penalty is accrued.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS HOMEOWNER TO MAKE SURE YOUR ESCROW COMPANY/BANK HAS A COPY OF YOUR TAX BILL EACH YEAR!!!!!
Recycle/Landfill Info:
Rochester residents can recycle on the first and third Saturday of each month, from 8am-11pm at the town office
Bethel/Royalton Landfill: Call 802-763-2232 for recycling/trash questions. Open Tues, Thurs & Fri 7am-3pm and Saturday 7am-1pm.
